breasts grow out of control and then normally called a tumor and a tumor can be seen and felt it can be seen by x-ray off felt by hand at the end of the month you know doctors encourage you to do mammograms sorry at the end of each year or once a year they encourage you to do mammograms and at the end of each month at the end of your cycle they encourage
you to breast exams ladies and gentlemen if you are at the age of 40 and after you can't wait till the age of 40 because our guest was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 23 an so women i'm encouraging you no matter what age you are you should be checking your self monthly so guys as it relates to breast cancer and those tumors we were talking
about is considered malignant if the breast cancer or the tumor can spread to other parts of your body and so it's considered benign if it's not able to spread and it's not harmful and so a lot of times we have that terminology malignant and benign that is the difference between malignant and benign as relates to cancer and the type of
tumors that is diagnosed in women but on the next . we want to share with breast cancer is not just restricted to women we also have men that have breast cancer sherell are you serious yes ladies men are experiencing some of the very same effects that women are having and related breast cancer so you see person's wearing a blue ribbon and a
pink ribbon all one of the combination of both colors it's because they are hornoring the fact that both men and women go to the same struggles however more l women then it's a rarity in terms of it being found in men what is possible and is happening i'm sadly it is increasing so guys we're now going to share with you some statistics in fact
related to breast cancer and as it relates to the symptoms giving you some tips on how you can selfto examine yourself something that you can lookout for to ensure that you are living a healthy and a safe lifestyle less than fifty percent of women who get breast cancer have a family member who has being diagnosed with it the most common areas for breast
cancer to spread and become mastic breast cancer is the brain, lungs, liver and bones if the cancer is located only in the breast the five-year relative survival rate of people with breast cancer is may ninty nine percent 61 percent of those cases are diagnosed at this stage if the cancer has spread to the regional lymph nodes five-year survival rate is
eighty-five percent in women under the age of 45 breast cancer is more common in african-american women than in white women some symptoms are a lump in thickening that feels different from the rest of the breast a change in skin textures such as dimply discharge liquids from the nipples and so many others we reach one of my favorite
segments of the day. todays guest she's about to blow your mind i've known always felt like a lifetime but her story is that she was diagnosed breast cancer at the age of 23 i was only given two years to live could you imagine and so she's now here to be inspiration she had a gift of hope with those of you who may be going
through it all may know somebody was going through and so do us a favor share this episode of time somebody who you know that this message is going to be a blessing to it is our job to get the message of hope to all the ends of the globe so without further ado we're going to introduce you to miss gandieze reckley
yeah so the doctor said to me when he did my own official diagnosis he was like well you're stage four breast cancer i was like okay so please like and i'm from by this diagnosis of you having stage for you know that you're only going to live with two and a half years right so i'm looking at him i really
dude seriously anyone how listen i grew up in the church i could most definitely tell you that so by the time everybody knew it breast cancer child my mother knees was listen to me her knee pads needed knee pads tell you that baby so i'm i asked the doctor because he was really really insisted on just quickly cutting off the best so i was like you know what will you allow me
to get a second opinion you say you can get three, four and five it's not going to change the fact that the breast has to get cut off i'm like i'm saying to myself by craig so did my second opinion ended up with i'm really really good i'm dr. his name is delton farquharson awesomesauce what he did first was he
administered chemotherapy to me and like the first dose he gave me or whatever the first seconds to be like like every three weeks or so and at the end of that process the lump went down like like it was like nothing's was ever wrong but because the cancer was so aggressive i had to get my breasts cut off now looking at me
of course you ain't gonna see my breasts missing already small breast so therefore the prosthetic piece just fit right on in so people that don't know i don't want you in my business and ain't go no listen god has it's been so good to me i can tell you i have friends that have passed on from breast cancer and it could have
been me because like every time i lose a friend i tend to ask god all the wrong questions questions i would be like lord these people have kids i don't have any kids why me and of course i'm sure if god was a nigger he would come down and be like bye felicia you know but i'm listen to me i'm come to know that this that i been through in my life
e being diagnosed with stage four breast cancer i don't think that the testimony was for me i think that the testimony was a young person or the older woman was diagnosed and fell that this is it that their life is over honey listen to me honey whatever god brings you to he will brig you through
now i will tell you this i've always been an open-minded person i would say to somebody who you know listen chemo chemo just some people really really bad and bring some down to lil light weight and looks really really dimm and i say to them as listen to me god not only heals bodies he heals souls i've never been afraid to die i just
feel like you just gotta walk up circumspectly when you walk in god listen to me absent from this body is to be present with the lord obviously my work is not done on this earth and whatever purpose is in me god wants it to be birthed you understand the process is not easy at all i can tell you but see i don't
know like my personality listen chemo was rough right i am computer savy i google every single symptom i had put a google search and everything they told me to get i use that so i kind of sort of beat the lil chemo feeling thing because i really wanted to eat cause you become hungry and not like when you're hungry you can't eat because
everything coming back up child so i'm selling let my auntie make the flour pap for me the trick to it is you guys doing chemotherapy out there after you've done the chemo you eat the flour pap or you can eat before you go in to do your chemo the trick is you have to vomit
okay so when you eat the flour pap and the chemo run through your body whatever so you got to do that big throw up that you take the gravel and then when you take the gravel we take the gas tax is all gasp oh my gas boom and then you'll feel better you'll be able to eat and then there's another symptom where the tongue burn you have to get a
prescription from your doctor it's called magic mouthwash or as the plug believe that, that's the plug but my mom and she's no longer with us god rest of her child trusts she's in a better place for sure she is that was a woman of god listen gandieze we just want to say thank you so much for sharing your
testimony we know that it's definitely going to be a blessing i mean from going from being diagnosed with cancer at the age of 23 to experiencing limphomania oh my goodness who god keeps is well kept and ten years later she's still with us sharing her testimony and so we salute salute you and we know that there's a world of women out there was standing behind you and
cheering youon in your journey guys we reach the end of another episode of ask sherell listen i am so excited as a privilege and a pleasure i get to simply write every monday and she have a gift of hope because that is what this talk show is about but i can't end today's talk show talk to without talking about the woman that inspired this inspired me
