'cause if people search 'pewdiepie' and you have a recent video, then it will show up sooner. or 'markiplier'... or whatever... so, i- i refrain from doing that from now on-- i refrain from putting my own name too much in titles.. or felix's name... or mark's name... or anything in titles... because it just looks like you're using their name for views. and i don't- i don't want that- i don't want it to come across as that
but then the other side of the coin is that people--some people don't like mark or felix or if i play with them, they don't like me-- which is perfectly fine, people are allowed to like whoever they want.. i don't want to see people shitting all over other youtubers just for the sake of shitting all over other youtubers... if you just don't like their style...that's fine. um... but... because i don't put their names in the titles, then some people are like... "i don't like mark." "i don't like felix." "so, i clicked on this video and i didn't know they were in it" sort of thing
so, it's a very hard balance but, just in case you were wondering why i don't put their names in titles anymore, that's kind of the reason i mean, here and there i will... i don't know. if i think of a funny title or something then i will. but otherwise-- i tend not to [scratches eye] the youtube game, man there's so many, like, teeny-tiny little things on youtube that if you do youtube, and you've done it for awhile
you kind of see all the little tips and all the little tricks that people are doing to try and boost themselves. and... i don't know... and i don't want to seem like i'm very pious and i'm trying to be above everybody else by not doing these things i just feel like... you took away 333 subs (subscribers) after i did something great??! wow.. wow. putting pewdiepie in the title gave me almost 4k views maybe it's not random, heh
[strokes cheek] um, well, "the dreams of dreams" almost gave me 4k as well but when you do youtube long enough, you start see all the little tricks people do to boost themselves and like i said, i'm not trying to make it sound like i'm above them.. i just, i want to try and, [studders] i want to try to do youtube based on my own merits rather than the fact that i clickbaited someone into watching one of my videos because then it's- they're not there for you, they're not even there for the game they're there because they think they're getting something... and then they don't get it
and then they end up disliking the video, or they just don't come back or anything and i wanna make sure i'm making people happy. and i'm actually, like... oh. lets do... 'about...' 'about a crazy camera'! i wanna make sure i'm doing videos that make people happy or excited or laugh or entertain-- rather than just being like, "hey, i made this video, and you thought it was something, "so come watch my video, and then never come back." 'cause that's usually what it is and the clickbait will only get you so far.. and then after a while your channel plateaus and you just go nowhere and then people forget about you very fast, so..
i wanna make sure that this channel is something more than just videos : it's a community and-- that we're all here together and... people come for- for me, for the community, for the videos-- for anything at all. . for a very multitude of reasons and then, they stick around. and if something happened to the channel-- that they might stick around to the next thing we end up doing as a community i dunno.nothing's going to happen to the channel right now i'm just saying, you- you want people to be there for more than just, like, entertainment value
